Morning Workout

My workout days are tues, thurs, and sat. Matt's are mon, wed, and fri. We only eat and lay around on Sunday... :) It's smart not to miss your assigned morning, as it will be another two days before you get to the gym! Neither of us will give up our day for the other, that's how much it means to us. lol. On my days, I get up at 5:40am to be at the gym for a class by 6am. It early, but it is the only time to work out when you're a mom. Plus, I LOVE the alone time!!
There are two reasons that I'm forced to do my workout at home, in my small living room, with my 20 yr old Firm DVD (transfered from a VHS) or the P90X, of course. First reason, I'm lazy and can't get out of bed on my day, so I have to workout later at home. Secondly, it is winter, and IT SNOWS! Then Matt is out plowing and I can't leave. Which happened this morning. Don't get me wrong, I'm more than grateful for the snow. In fact, I prayed it here! But I hate working out at home amongst two girlies...
If I were more on the ball, which is rare, I would get up and workout before the Drama wakes up. But instead, I woke up at the same time as the drama.
What do the little punks do while mom tries desperately to workout in a small space?
-Roll around on the floor directly in front of the jumping mommy.
-Try to stand right next to the jumping mommy.
-Pick up weights, mats, and bands to hand to mommy.
-Lay on top of mommy while does push ups and tries to hold body in a flat plank.
-And, my personal favorite, encourage mommy, by trying to hold her hand, pat her back and say "good gule mommy!"  "Thanks Sam, mommy can't breath right now..."
-Or begs to watch a show on the little computer!!
-Get cereal all over the couch.
-Ask 10 times if I am done yet and what we will do after this!
These wonderful Mothering moments make me really appreciate the 5:40am alarm. Here's to Thursday morning!
