Daddy's Home!!

We've once again gone through the transition of Matt being gone a whole lot all Spring. It's always an adjustment for the girls. He worked consistently in the winter and was also taking 14 credits of classes, so he wasn't around as much as he often is in the winter. But he still came home a little earlier and we often saw him at lunch. Spring comes and finals hit and he is just gone. He's exhausted when he gets home and it's obvious he's been working very hard, but he still finds some energy to toss these girls around for a little bit. Considering I can't lift them right now, they don't get a lot of tossing around throughout the day.
The goal is to end the rough housing without tears. The girls have a hard time knowing when to stop and they keep at it until they get hurt or get in trouble. Matt always tries to end it with cuddling on the couch but then they start saying things like, "Dad! Don't close your eyes! Don't fall asleep!!" Ha. Good luck!
Matt finished his last final on the 25 of April and ended with good grades too. We were both so relieved when this semester ended. Although it's taken him weeks to catch up at work (which doesn't really happen until August or Septemeber, it's just the way of the season). But the stress has been less and we've both been happier with a break from school. He has 18 more credits to finish his degree. He has wisely decided he will take two easier paced 9 credit semesters and finish next spring. Nice to have a light at the end of the tunnel for the segment of schooling.
