Mia's First Filling...

I say "first filling" like there will be many more to come... I really hope that's not true. But it may be the dental pessimist coming out in me. If Mia has my Dental Genetics, it's. all. over. Sorry kiddo! We brush very well at our house. And floss. Mia also loves using Listerine, oddly enough. But she still got a cavity in her back bottom molar. We've been talking non stop about what is good for our teeth and what is bad. And why we don't drink much soda anymore. All in all, I'm just glad this experience went really smooth just in case we have to return.
We talked about this just enough to prep her and not enough to freak her out. She thought the laughing gas was awesome and breathed her only her nose very diligently!! She was pretty funny quoting lines from Tangled that she was watching on the ceiling.
She stayed completely still and the dentist was super fast. (The young dentist that Mia thinks "is kind of HANDSOME." geez...)
My favorite part was her continually lifting one leg or one arm and holding it in the air... the gas was obviously doing something!
She was such a good girl that we met Daddy and Sam after for a morning donut. Yeah, I know... don't worry, we brushed right when we got home!
