First Bike Ride 2011

March in Utah = really nice days and really cold days!
On the nice days you have to rally and make life happen or you just waste the sunshine! We decided to be brave and take a bike ride. This takes bravery for a few different reasons:
1. Brave to get the trailer and bike down off the ceiling without breaking people or things. Husband hates it when I break things.
2. Brave to put spandex on after not wearing it for at least 6 months.
3. Brave to round up a million things to cart around with you on the ride. See below for details.
4. Brave because I know how much my girls have grown since last season and they will be HEAVY!!!!
My favorite thing about pulling them on my bike ride:
After stopping at the park halfway through, we gear up to ride home. About 4.5 miles back. Not too bad, except it's up a couple serious hills and I'm pulling 100+ pounds. At the hardest part of hill number two, Mia is yelling to me, "MOM!!!! GO FASTER! WE'RE GOING TOO SLOW, WE'RE GOING TO FALL DOWN THE HILL!!!"
Mom: Thank you Mia!
30 seconds later:
"Mom! I need my trail mix!! I can't find it! Mom! Mom!!"
Mom: Mia *panting* I can't breathe!!! *panting* Hold on!!! *panting* Going up hill!! *panting*
This is when I think I will never pull them again. And then I do. Cause I still love it.
Things not to forget on a bike ride for three.
2 fully dressed children with park footwear
Helmets
ipod
water
one sippy with chocolate milk
one bottle with milk
2 blankies
2 baggies with equal snacks
wipes-(used them every time!)
crocs/flip flops for me at the park
diaper
sunblock
phone
tissue
emergency money
sunglasses
biking jacket
more snacks

Man, you are brave. And strong! Loved the adorable princess hair. And the fun times in the dryer. I remember an older brother convincing me it would be fun to jump from the eleventh stair...to the bottom. Seriously stupid, but being the trusting 8-year old I was, I did it. Brothers!!

You're awesome, Elisa. Keep it up! They'll be slowing you down further on their big girl bikes soon enough:).
