It may not match her princess personality, but Mia actually does not like the camera much at all. It's a phase she's been going through for the last year. Sometimes it drives me crazy when I need a picture for something. Every once and awhile she will "let you pwactice your cwamwa for Mia Jane." Which essentially means I go outside and play with her, occassionally taking a picture. I do love playing with my camera, so I'm sucker when she lures me outside. This big girl turns 3 on the Sunday. I can't believe it.
Here's a few recent Mia stories.
A few weeks ago, we were out and about somewhere and while I was putting Samantha in the car, Mia locked her door and the passenger door. I was already at my wit's end at this point and yelled at her through the window to open the door NOW! She didn't and we yelled back and forth for a minute. I finally unlocked the door and I smacked her on the hand and explained why she can't lock me out of the car, before putting her in her seat. She cried all the way home and then pouted around the house for a bit. Yeah. She's drama, all the time. So now, everytime we get in the car
Mia says, "Mom, I jus get in my seat. So you won't SMACK ME anymore, huh."
And then when I threaten her in the middle of Target to behave, she says loudly...:
Mia: "You mean so you won't SMACK ME?!
Me: I'm not going to smack you Mia, just be good please.
And then at church when I take her out for being ridiculously loud,
Mia: "Mommy, don't SMACK ME!"
Me: Mia, I'm not going to smack you just stop yelling at church!"
AND THEN, today.
Mia says, "Mommy! Give me gogurt!"
Me: Mia, that was not a nice way to ask for a gogurt. Try again."
Mia: Gimme a gogurt or I gonna SMACK YOU!"
I couldn't even get mad, I just stared at her and laughed. Then she got herself a gogurt and walked away. She owns me.I guess at least we understand each other. :) I'm truly not abusive.
One of Mia's new verbal corks is saying things like:
"Mommy, if you need it, you need it."
"Sammie hold her sippy, if she wannit, then she wannit!"
"Leave this here, if I need it, then I need it."
"If I'm hungry, than I'm hungry."
It's her way of saying, whatever happens is going to happen!
And one of my favorites:
While she and Matt are watching a movie together on the couch today, I came upstairs with a ton of laundry and started folding and
Mia says, "Mommy wheres your cwient!?
Me: I'm done, she's gone.
Mia: Wewll...Go cwean your salwon then!
Me: Why?
Mia: You buggin us! We watchin ours show!
hmmm...I'm loved. and apparently, I'm always working and she likes it that way. :)
The drama queen herself...
