Tagged...again and again...

So I've been tagged to do these lists of things quite a few times and I've never done one. I guess I chose this one to do...not sure why.

What's his name: Matt

How long have we been together? Well we've been married for 3 1/2 years.

How long did you date? We started dating a little shy of our 17th birthdays, we dated (in person) until matt's mission, and then we wrote for two years. Some people count that as dating, some people don't. But it was an excellent two years for us, and we loved writing to each other so I count it. However, matt would probably say it doesn't count because I was dating other guys. it's a toss up.

Who eats more? Matt does in one sitting, but I snack and day and all evening, so I'm sure my caloric intake is higher.

Who said "I love you" first? hmm. it's strange. I don't really remember. I think it was matt, but then I said it right back. I just remember we probably found each other too young and if Mia has the same high school romance, Matt will have a nervous breakdown.

Who's taller? Matt. His height is perfect for me, I can still kiss him on my toes, but my head leans on his chest flat footed.

Who can sing better? Neither of us consider ourselves singers. We can both blend with a choir fine, but my favorite is to hear Matt play his guitar and sing Radiohead songs. So I think the best voice goes to him.

Who's smarter? Depends on the topic, but I'd have to say all around, it'd be Matt. I mean, I'm not a hairdresser because I'm stupid, but Matt's far more talented than I am. He can build anything he sets his mind to and if he wants to learn something, he figures out a way. He has a much better business sense than I do and got further in college.

Who does the laundry? Me. Matt will often put it in, but then it just sits there til I take over. However, I have to give him props for folding a whole basket while I was at Supperclub on Tues.

Who pays the bills? Matt. I do the grocery/gas money stuff and take care of all my salon business. But Matt does the "important stuff." Strangely enough we both enjoy paying the bills, it's a strange kind of satisfaction to organize and stay on top of the finances. But Matt says I'm too flighty to stay on top of everything. It's a discussion we have often...he's wrong, but whatever.

Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? Sleeping is a sensitive subject in our house. If you're sitting in the bed, I sleep on the right side. However, that is the side further from the door (by about 5 feet since our room is very small), since matt has to be closer to the door, even though he's certainly not the person getting up with Mia. We're both finicky sleepers and our nighttime routines have clashed since the day we were married. Matt says he slept great until he married me, my insomnia wore off on him. Like I said, a sensitive issue.

Who mows the lawn? Matt, or one of the guys that works with him. Being married to a landscaper defiantly has its perks.

Who cooks dinner? Matt can cook two things. Eggs and Quesadillas. Good thing Mia likes both. I actually love to cook, but I'm not a great cook. I go through phases of doing it a lot and then I won't make a meal for weeks. Tonight I'm cooking, and aaron and angie are coming over for dinner.

Who drives? Matt. He'll kick me out of the drivers seat any chance he gets.

Who is more stubborn? Hard to say. The Sandgren Men are known for their stubbornness, but he tells me I'm stubborn all the time. I think it depends on our topic. We pick our battles pretty well.

Who proposed? Matt. it was very sweet.

Who has more friends? I consider most of my hair clients my friends, since I see them and talk to them so much. So, I'd say me. But almost all of our long term friends are people we've both known for a long time and grew up with. So it's equal there.

Who is more sensitive? Neither of us are super sensitive, its one of my favorite things about our relationship. But there's no doubt I'm still the girl, therefore more sensitive.

Who has more siblings? Matt. 6 kids in his family, 5 in mine.

Who wears the pants? It's funny to answer these questions without Matt here because I'm pretty sure the answers would be a little different. Matt is definitely the Man of our house and he fulfills his duties well. We discuss major decisions together and pick our battles carefully, but on the everyday little things, I would say we share the pants. One leg in, one leg out! About twice a day Matt says, "Don't tell me what to do woman!" But then does whatever I asked and it wouldn't have been done otherwise. But then in the same hour, he nicely demands things like cookies and beverages, and I seem to go about it like a mama robot. So, like I said, one leg in, one leg out.

There very well may be a post following this one with a rebuttal from my husband. I tend to get things wrong.
